Join us as we delve into the intimate and joyous tale of this two-day wedding that united hearts in two different places.
Day 1: The Church Ceremony in Calgary The first day of celebrations began with an air of excitement as family and friends gathered at Oak Park Church of Christ in Calgary. The church's timeless elegance added a touch of grace to the ceremony as Camryn and Sterling exchanged their vows, promising eternal love and devotion in the presence of their loved ones and a few select guests who were able to attend in person.
One of the most heartwarming aspects of the ceremony was the livestream arranged by the couple. This thoughtful gesture allowed friends and family from distant corners of the world to witness the joyous occasion, virtually uniting everyone despite the physical distance. Tears of happiness were shed, and heartfelt blessings were sent from across the globe, making the celebration truly inclusive and unforgettable.
Rain is always considered good luck on your wedding day and we had some rain during the ceremony, thankfully we were able to use a covered location for our downtown Calgary portrait session.
Day 2: The Reception in Big River, SK.
After a week filled with love and anticipation, the wedding party embarked on a scenic journey to Big River, Saskatchewan, a town with sentimental significance for the couple. Here, the festivities continued with a delightful reception that exuded warmth and intimacy. First off, before the festivities I finally got to meet Camryn and Sterling’s dear friends and family that all traveled for their “official” wedding portraits! It was so fun to laugh and listen to stories about this amazing couple.
The reception venue was a charming space adorned with personal touches, reflecting the couple's personalities and journey together. Close family and friends gathered to celebrate the newlyweds, sharing stories, laughter, and heartfelt wishes. The absence of a dance floor did not dampen the spirit of the occasion, as the focus remained on creating cherished memories and fostering meaningful connections.
As the sun set over the prairie town of Big River, the couple felt surrounded by the love and support of their closest ones. The reception may not have had a dance, but it had an abundance of love, which made it just as special and memorable.
